San Juan River

Last week we had the chance to float The San Juan River with my family. It was so nice to be with all of my siblings (we missed Todd and Ash) and spend time together. The weather was amazing, the water was high and moved fast, the kids loved playing in the sand and water 24/7, and amazingly enough we had no injuries or sickness! Yeah!! We left Micah home with Richard and Karla, so the trip would be enjoyable for me. :) Thanks Tyler for putting the trip together for all of us, it was an amazing time!

Happy Birthday Micah

Happy 2nd Birthday Micah boy! You've added a whole new perspective to our family. I'm still getting used to this whole boy thing, I'm not used to all the cars, trucks, balls and throwing anything and everything you can get your little paws on! We love you and are happy your part of our family. Happy Birthday! XOXOXOXOXO

Eagle Award

Hatalee was so excited when she came home from school today- she could hardly wait to show me her award from school. Her teacher chose her for the "Rees Eagle Award" for being such a great student! She was thrilled!

Happy Mothers Day

Yesterday we had my mom and Nathans mom over for Mothers Day lunch. The kids think it's such a treat to have "both Gammas" over at the same time. I hope they both had a Happy Mothers Day and know how much we love and appreciate them in our lives. Happy Mothers Day- we love you both dearly!

Who Knew?

Apparently toy trucks serve dual purposes, not only are they fun to play with but they are excellent eating utensils as well. Who knew?

Marens Idea....

Maren woke me up at 7:00 this morning saying she wanted to get her ears pierced today. Sure, we can do that- thinking she would forget about it. On no, she didn't forget and kept bugging me about it. So we headed over the mall and picked up Grandma on the way for support. Which I'm glad we did, she had the idea of piercing both ears at the same time incase she got one done and didn't want the other! After the initial shock of pain, some tears (and a purple sucker) she's pretty proud of her new look!

Spring Break 2008

Hatalee and Rowan breaking in our new raft- floating the Moab Daily Run.
Sedona, Hatalee and Maren splashing in the fountains at Thanksgiving Point.

The only flowers in bloom at the Tulip Festival.
The kids loved the water slide at our Hotel in Moab, they couldn't get enough of it!
Even Micah went down with some help.
This year the kids had a whole week off for Spring Break- we tried to keep busy and do something everyday. We hit Thanksgiving Point to see the tulips, but no tulips were out! So the kids played in the fountains and got sunburned. We ate lunch at Costa Vida, went to the blowup playground Jumpin Jacks and the library! Friday we left for Moab to try out the new boat, but I think the kids favorite part was the hotel pool and it's slide!! I'm glad the week is over and everyone is back in school and schedules (for a couple more weeks anyway).

Check out my Slide Show!

Happy Birthday Dad

"If you could hie to Kolob In the twinkling of an eye,

And then continue onward With that same speed to fly,

Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,

Find out the generation where Gods began to be?"

Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of my Father- we wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday and let you know how much love we have for you. We're so happy your here with us and cherish every minute we have to spend with you!

Micah and "Pa"

Micah has taken quite a liking to his "Pa". He won't leave his sight when he is around. He just points and says"Pa, Pa". When we went to the Zoo, Micah made Dad pack him around the entire day and ride the train again and again with him. He loves his "Pa", and they've become quite the duo.

Looking over their goods from the Easter Egg Hunt.

Hatalee and Maren in their Easter Dresses.

We had a fun Easter weekend with all of the cousins!! We went to the Hogle Zoo, hunted for Easter Eggs, ate enough sugar to last untill next Easter, played with Grandmas parachute, fought over Baby Everett, and I tried to get pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes! Micah loves the camera!!
